Born to a poor Punjab family, Dilsher moves to the big city in hopes of success. He pays a visit to the corporate head Gurcharan Sikand, who he met as a child, and starts working for him. Dilsher gains Gurcharan’s trust but is belittled by Gurcharan’s son and wife. He then becomes close to Amira, a singer traumatized by her brother’s death. After much awaited success, Dilsher suddenly questions life’s important values under the mental influence and legacy of his father and music. Now, what decision will Dilsher make? The characters play a pivotal role in the film. Gurcharan favors Dilsher because of their similar appearances while Dilsher sees Gurcharan as his role model for success. They eventually find out that they have different goals in life. Mozez Singh successfully depicts this conflict that parallels the contradicting sides of human nature. The music in this film also holds an important role, where the Sikh music that Dilsher and his father perform purifies their spirits and guides them in the right direction of life. (KIM Ji-seok)
